Our venue is beautiful before decorating begins, hence all additions are like icing on a cake. Our staff is attentive. Venue opens at 9am for use of a bridal dressing suite and offers up to 6 hours of event time, no stress, no rushing.

How does catering work?

Sweeney Barn has a list of preferred partners that they ask you to work with first. If a couple decides to use a full-service caterer that is not on the list, there is an additional fee and an approval process they must go through at the venue. Couples are welcome to use a restaurant for catering, but they are required to use one of the rental and service partners from the venue's preferred list.


What is the rain plan?

With two levels of indoor space, there are plenty of great options that allow the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception to take place inside the venue. Couples can have their ceremony on the lower level, then move upstairs for the cocktail hour and reception. Or they can choose to have their ceremony upstairs, move downstairs for cocktail hour while the caterers flip the room, and return to the upper level for their banquet and dancing.

How does catering work?

The venue has a “preferred” caterers list that vary in style, price and taste. Events are welcome to choose from this list or they may bring in another caterer with approval and a nominal fee. Each caterer is rated on 3 criteria for every event; food quality, service to the guests and service to the venue. The process continually maintains standards for those that wish to remain on the preferred list.


How do decorations work?

The Oak Barn has some inventory of decorations: 3 whiskey barrel tables, easels, a hexagon to set behind a sweetheart table, signage, etc. Our brides also rent or bring in other decorations that make their wedding their own design.


What is the rain plan?

The Oak Barn has an excellent rain plan. The ceremony can be held on the 3000 sq. ft. first floor of the barn. After the ceremony, the guests will go to the 2nd floor 2000 sq. ft. balcony for cocktail hour. During cocktail hour, the caterers can reset the first floor for the reception. There is a large 20 x 20 sq. ft. dance floor in the center of the first floor for dancing.


A Note from the Owners

The Oak Barn at Loyalty has as its mission to make each event the best it can be. The venue has flexible hours that allow you the time to make your event everything you have ever dreamed of. Typically, an event will have access for two full days that can include hair and makeup in the bridal suite, and grooms dressing area complete with pool table and foosball table, lounge and dressing area. Rehearsals can include time for the families to get to know each other and may include dinner, games etc. The barn is available early for drop off of props or decorations and also after the event for next day pick up of special items.

How does catering work?

Dover Hall is home to an artisan in-house culinary team, providing bespoke catering services and thoughtfully curated beverage packages and programs. It is required that our wedding clients obtain their food and beverage services through our culinary team, and we host private menu tastings for our couples during the planning process.


How do decorations work?

The Dover Hall estate house is furnished with authentic pieces obtained from different castles and estates across Europe. All personal décor items can be brought by the couple, facilitated by their planner and other participating vendors. Please note that Dover Hall does require that all of our wedding clients procure planning and coordination services through a third-party wedding planner.


What is the rain plan?

We encourage all of our clients that plan their “Plan B” in the case of inclement weather alongside their ideal “Plan A” – we’ll have all of the rain plan contingencies thoughtfully considered, making this transition the week of the wedding as seamless and stress-free as possible. Indoor ceremonies and indoor receptions are both hosted in our Ballroom, and we have the option to facilitate a tent rental for larger guest counts.
