About the Business!

I started my business at the end of 2012 in my basement on a small design table, I made a few business cards on my computer and relied heavily on family and friends for any job and/or order they could give me. As word started to slowly spread, I was eventually able to secure some events that were big enough to make a name for myself. I proceeded to expand my workspace, filling every corner and closet in my home for storage of flowers, supplies and rentals that I had collected. In 2015 my husband decided that my small in-home business had grown enough that it deserved its own space, we built a large detached shop, bought a small cooler from an auction and my tiny basement operation became an actual functioning work space. I created an actual business Facebook page, got real business cards and started taking orders and I set up a consultation area where I could meet with clients.


This is how the shop operated for 4 years and again I grew bigger and bigger now needing help from family and friends not for orders but for help to fill orders from others on holidays and with big events because I couldn’t handle it all on my own anymore. In 2019, I had the

opportunity to purchase a building in Ashland  which is where In Any Event is now located, I still use my old shop as a warehouse for all of my rental items but, the new location has given me the chance to once again expand with a variety of giftware items and a fancy new consultation room that allows me showcases rental items along with floral options for sympathy and everyday designs. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would be where I am today and am so thankful for the work ethic that my dad instilled in me, along with a lot of strength and determination to push through all of the times when it seemed that this dream wasn’t possible.


Jess, tell us about yourself!

I have been in the floral industry for over 25 years, starting when I was only 15 at a local greenhouse watering plants during the summer for some extra cash. After deciding that I loved the trade and wanted to learn as much as possible, I attended Rock Bridge High School and Columbia College taking every Horticulture and Floral class that they had to offer. Without a doubt this would be what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have been very fortunate over the years to have had the opportunity to work with many great designers, who have all given me an unbelievable amount of knowledge that I have taken and used to

help me grow immensely. I have experience in all aspects of the horticulture industry and consider my talent a complete passion. My clients are like my family and I go out of my way to make sure that each one is satisfied beyond belief. I have dreamed about my own business for many years and am happy now to know that I will be able to share what I love with you and use my magic to make all of your floral and landscape dreams become a reality.

What services can you offer for my wedding?

We offer a huge variety of services for your wedding day including fresh and silk floral for the bridal party, ceremony and reception. We also have 100’s of rental items such as wine barrels, arbors, backdrops, ceiling drape, up lighting, table linens and chair covers just to name a few. We have coordination packages for your entire event and setup/takedown options that are offered with our full service packages making us your one stop shop for a completely stress free weekend giving you and your family time to spend together and enjoy the entire experience.


What can you tell us about pricing?

One of our mottos has always been “In ANY Event, where we continually strive to provide

extraordinary services on a realistic budget.” We do our best to always get the brides budget up front and only offer items/services that will fit within that number. We have the option of substituting flower types to get the same look and feel without spending as much money for premium flowers. All of this is discussed in our initial consultation which is free. If you are looking for average pricing, I have a sheet I can attach in the email.


Do you deliver?

We do deliver and will service any area in Mid-Missouri or beyond. We have

done wedding in STL and KC but for the most part we stay within a 100-mile

radius.


What is the first step?

The first step is to go to the website and fill out our inquiry form which will give me the basic information to start your folder, we will then setup our initial consultation so that I can get specifics which will allow me to give you a price estimate on your specific needs for your big day.


What can I expect at a consultation?

The consultation will take approximately 1 – 1.5 hours, you will need as many

specifics as possible including your colors/theme, location and time of

ceremony/reception, the number of people in your bridal party plus immediate

family members who you would like to have flowers. Ceremony and Reception

décor ideas, size and shape of tables at venue, does the venue provide linens.

Although we have a $500 minimum, we are able to work to almost any budget.

What can I expect at a consultation?

Pictures or access to pictures of different locations you would like to have floral design elements is also very helpful. An idea of overall floral and décor budget is useful but not required.

Growing up in an artistic environment, Sara loved being around color and beauty from a very young age. Sara’s entry into the world of floral design was a natural one, as friend after friend asked her to do flowers for their weddings. For over twenty years, she’s been an avid home gardener, never able to resist cutting beautiful blooms and displaying them throughout her home. Entertaining has always provided a great opportunity to decorate a table with gorgeous garden style flower arrangements.


For the past nineteen years Sara has been creating beautiful floral arrangements for weddings as well as a variety of events. Sara was able to be a part of Wildflowers over nineteen years ago, helping Jane the former owner with weddings and events. In Philadelphia she worked at Home Influence, a well-established floral design studio. The markets of Lima gave a wonderful chance to buy flowers directly from the growers. She has been at Wildflowers full time since the fall of 2015 and has loved getting to play a vital role in creating beautiful events for all of life's moments.

What services can you provide for a wedding?

Our wedding day services include design, arranging the flowers, setting up the wedding ceremony and reception, showing brides how to hold their bouquet, pinning on boutonniere, pick-up all the flowers and containers at the end of the day and anything floral. We want the day to be beautiful and stress free for the happy couple.

Can you tell us about pricing?

We do not have an overall minimum on weddings. We do have minimums on individual items. Bouquet prices vary widely due to each bride's vision and selection of flowers. Our minimum for brides is $175, $65 for Bridesmaids. Boutonnieres start at $12, and corsages are usually $25-28. Tall centerpieces start at $150 and low centerpieces with flowers start at $55, though this amount will vary based on what a bride selects. Our minimum for Delivery, Set-up and Picking up is $550.


Do you deliver?

We do deliver to the St Louis Metro area and beyond. We usually travel up to an hour outside of St Louis, for example wineries or farms. This is an additional mileage charge based on distance.

What is the first step?

The first step in wanting to work with Wildflowers would be to contact us to see if we have your date available. If we do then we would love to meet with the couple for a free consultation.

What can I expect at a consultation?

At the couples consultation we will go over the details of the day and then develop a floral vision. We usually start with the bride's bouquet which helps to set the tone and color palette for the rest of the wedding. We ask the couple to send in pictures of their favorite flowers or bouquets if they have them so we can get a sense of their style and colors. This helps in the development of the wedding flowers.
