Back Home Catering is a family owned catering business since 1992. They offer a true catered dining experience. Back Home Catering has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers such as “A Taste of the Home,” “Dining in Historic Kentucky,” and “On the Road with Bryon Crawford.” They have also been in several articles and have recipes in Elizabethtown’s The News-Enterprise, Louisville’s Courier Journal, and The Lexington Herald and others. Back Home Catering was featured on Television’s “PM Magazine” seven times and once on Fox TV when they catered to Hollywood stars when the movie “Elizabethtown” was made.
Like we said, Back Home Catering is the real deal! They were also were featured on the Drew Barrymore show in September 22, 2020 for a wedding during “COVID-19.”
At Room 62, their event center capacity is 110 people. They cater events like weddings, parties, corporate events and much more! We can offer a wide variety of food options as well as custom decorations to match your event’s theme. They are E’town’s ONLY licensed travel bartender and bar.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the owner, Jamie Fulkerson, for this post so we could learn more about Back Home Catering and how they can help you with your wedding day food!
What catering services do you offer?
No job is too small or too big! We offer hot buffets, plated meals, boxed meals, platters and trays, breakfast packages, backyard picnics, summer cookouts, budget beaters, and food bars. Licensed travel bartender and bar.
What areas do you cater to? We can serve all of Kentucky and southern Indiana. In the Elizabethtown area deliveries and caterings are of no extra charge, outside the city limits travel fee applies.
What types of foods do you offer?
Southern homestyle cooking, Italian selections, finger foods, platters and trays, sandwiches, breakfast food, BBQ, hamburgers, hotdogs, potato bar, and taco bar.
What are some popular wedding catering options you see with your client?
Our Bourbon glazed chicken breast over rice pilaf and sliced roast beef with brown gravy are definitely a fan favorite! Our Backyard Picnic that includes our pulled pork BBQ with buns, baked beans, potato salad, is a huge hit during the warmer months of spring and summer! And don’t forget our fried chicken as it goes great with any occasion!
How many guests can you cater? Is there a minimum?
Typically we prefer no less than 20 guests, but no job is too big or too small!
Where do you make the food?
We make the food right here in our kitchen at Back Home Catering/Room 62.
Can you accept any special requests?
We do offer a children’s menu to accommodate your tiny guests with your event. We do work around any and all food allergies.

What makes you unique?
With 18 years of experience, our catering staff offers you the VIP treatment. We decorate our buffet tables to match your event, offer buffet/cafeteria style food, plated food, and clean-up. Leave the worry to us!
What can I expect from a consultation/tasting? We let you pick different menu items. We serve you in our event center for a private tasting. After choosing us as your caterer the price of the tasting is deducted from your bill.
