Hello Blissful Blue Jays! I have a really exciting product to share with you in this post!
For years, I have struggled with uneven skin tone. I used to have acne and even though the acne is gone, I am not confident going out in public without a cream or liquid foundation followed by powder. I would love to have a smoother, more even skin tone. I have some sun spots, uneven spots, etc. I love how foundation just "smoothes" it all out. What I don't like, is how people can tell I obviously have foundation on. I hate to be able to "see" the foundation on my skin. I do my best to blend it in, but sometimes it can't be avoided in certain lighting. I guess I secretly just want everyone to think I'm an all-natural beauty, ok!
Anyway, I discovered Meladerm®, which is pigment correction product made by Civant. It is their best seller. Meladerm® contains over 10 advanced ingredients that brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation such as age spots, acne marks, melasma, and uneven skin tone.*
The product can help with:
Melasma & Chloasma
Uneven Skin Tone
Age Spots & Dark Spots
Elbows, Knees & Knuckles
I was intrigued by the before and after photos on their website. What could this product do for my skin? I had to find out!
I reached out to Civant and asked to put their product to the test and do a review for my audience. They happily sent me the product free of charge, so I could give my honest opinion.
First, in 1999 Civant was founded with a mission to develop an effective stand alone product for hyperpigmentation. Today, they're building on the success of Meladerm by creating an entire line of products that can be used to establish a hydrating, nourishing, and brightening daily skin care routine.
They don't use hydroquinone, parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, or artificial fragrances. They utilize many exciting and natural skin brightening ingredients that can effectively reduce the appearance of dark spots and skin discolorations.
Key ingredients in Meladerm include:
-EMBLICA FRUIT EXTRACT
-LICORICE ROOT EXTRACT
-VITAMIN B3 (NIACINAMIDE)
It also includes:
ALPHA ARBUTIN - Alpha arbutin is one of the most advanced skin brightening biosythentic ingredients on the market for dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
GIGAWHITE™ - GigaWhite™ is derived from alpine plants and is a preservative-free skin brightener that’s been proven to have a significant skin brightening effect with regular topical use.
SYMWHITE™ - SymWhite™ is derived from a powerful molecule that exists naturally in pine trees and exhibits very potent antioxidant activity.
SEPIWHITE™ - Sepiwhite™ is manufactured by Seppic and is derived from an essential amino acid. When combined with other ingredients like AHA and niacinamide, Sepiwhite™ becomes a powerful skin brightener suitable for all skin types.
So - my results!
Day 1 - A tiny amount goes a long way. Feels super light on the skin. I applied in the morning under my makeup, and at night after exfoliation before bed. I will do this every day and update at day 7.
Day 7 - I already notice a difference in my skin. I can't wait to see how much more this improves.
Day 16 - *I see the magic happening today!* I was scheduled to pick my mom up and take her to a super early Doctor's appointment this morning. It was so early, when I got up I chose not to put any makeup on. I knew I wasn't even getting out of the car so it wasn't a big deal because no one would see me anyway. I dropped my mom off at her appointment and did my car habit of checking how I look in the rear view mirror. I caught myself literally doing a double take. What on earth happened to my skin?? My skin looked more smooth and even than it ever had. For a minute, I truly thought I had foundation on and reminded myself that I didn't. I thought "Wow!" I had a jolt of excitement and confidence run through me like never before. Of course my skin wasn't perfect, but the improvement was huge.
Day 24 - I have used this every day like clockwork and it is definitely providing incredible results. I feel like everyone should know about this. I only like to share products I truly love and support and this is definitely one of them. I no longer wear a cream/liquid foundation and probably won't unless I want to get really dressed up and wear a full face of makeup for a night out (which hasn't happened lately because of COVID-19.) You might be wondering if I edited the Day 16 photo, I did NOT!
I know I still don't have perfect skin, but it's coming a long way and my confidence is up.
There have been days I'll just slap on a little bit of powder, or go completely without foundation. I feel so confident in my skin, it's crazy! I've had my mother and my sister BOTH say "are you wearing foundation or...?" They truly can't tell because my skin is much more even, bright and smooth than it was before. It's so nice to not have that "cakey" "foundation" look. I will use this stuff for life and definitely be looking into more of their products! Check it out for yourself here.
