Introducing an Incredible Wedding Cake Expert in Idaho
Getting Married in Idaho?
The Cake is a BIG Deal!
Luckily, we found a cake expert you will love and their work is beyond beautiful!
We had the pleasure of interviewing the owner of Kessler Cakes, Emily, and she is so amazing. She started Kessler Cakes in 2020, after few years of making cakes as a hobby for all her friends and family members’ birthdays. We know you will love her and her work! She is based out of Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, so if you're close to that area we definitely recommend checking her out for your wedding cake!
Let the Interview Begin!
Emily, tell us about yourself!
I am an in-home baker based out of the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley. I have a friend who started making her kids’ birthday cakes herself, because she always had the hardest time finding someone to make them taste great and look great. Whenever I went to their birthday parties, I looked forward to eating her cake because it was always tasted so much better than any other cake I’d had. This inspired me to start making cakes for my loved ones, so one day when I have children of my own, it could be a fun special tradition for them to get a cool, extravagant cake made by their mom every year. For a few years, this is what I did. After so many people continued to tell me I should sell my cakes, I decided to give it a go. I have so much fun getting to be a part of people’s special occasions in the cakes I make for them.
Emily, can you show us some of your work?
What are your most favorite cake and icing flavors? Is there a favorite or “most popular” among clients?
My personal favorites are my classic white cake, or my white chocolate raspberry cupcakes. Among my clients, favorites are definitely chocolate or white, almond cherry or white chocolate raspberry as well!
How big (or small) of cakes can you create?
I create anywhere from 4 inch (mini) cakes to 2 to 3 tiered wedding cakes.
Do you deliver? If yes, what are your service areas?
I can deliver for a delivery fee, based on how far away it is. I’m based out of Lewiston-Clarkston. So delivery in-town and the surrounding areas (Moscow, Pullman, Julietta). Typically anywhere within a 1 hour drive I can do, depending on availability.
Do you offer anything besides wedding cakes?
Yes! Cupcakes and mini cupcakes are great for weddings as well, cake pop truffles and (my personal favorite) chocolate covered strawberries. I also do cakes and cupcakes for other events, such as Bridal Shower, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, gender reveals, baby showers, birthdays, etc.
What can you tell me about getting started?
I do offer tastings if weddings are booked far enough in advance, for a $10 tasting fee, added to our invoice. I always do a consultation to gather information about colors and theme, and ask to look at any photos you have for inspiration.
So there you have it, an awesome wedding cake expert for Idaho brides! If you're ready to start planning your dream wedding cake (or cupcakes!), we say get in touch with Emily right away because her schedule fills fast!

What is my relationship to the featured wedding vendor? I am always transparent with my audience. This vendor was hand selected by me to feature in this post. They were charged a small fee to cover my time in creating their feature as this provides a means for me to earn an income. I reached out to them and offered the opportunity, they did not seek me out looking to advertise. I only feature venues and vendors I truly think are great!
