We are so excited to be writing about this gorgeous Montana wedding venue that knows how to provide a wedding experience that will be absolutely unforgettable. They offer so much to their couples, we honestly think it would be a dream come true to get married here. The Ranch combines elemental features geologic, historic, and physical in nature to experience the majesty of Montana. Located in the shadow of the rugged Beartooth Mountains, the Yellowstone tributary valley provides unparalleled views and natural beauty. If you love the outdoors, you’re going to love this venue. Let’s get started!
A TRUE MONTANA EXPERIENCE ON THE RANCH
Prior to your arrival, the staff at Quaking Aspen Ranch will gage your interest in fly fishing, horseback activities, river rafting, shooting sports, and area experiences via shuttle, ATV, mountain bike, hiking, or just relaxing on the rivers edge to set up a custom itinerary for you or your group! We can only imagine a wedding weekend here, marrying your best friend and getting all of these wonderful experiences at the same time.
We are OBSESSED with their reception pergola. This outdoor reception setup is beyond beautiful and romantic. Look at those chandeliers, the furniture, the lighting… this is just the beginning of an incredible wedding venue! Read on to fall even deeper in love right along with us!
Multiple Ceremony Options
We love that this venue doesn’t just offer one way to say your vows, but multiple ceremony options so you can find which one speaks to you the most! They want your wedding to be unique to you, so they’ve worked hard to provide ways to customize your day.
The barn is their most popular wedding reception location! The barn is 40’x40’ with a concrete floor and smooth wood finish dance floor, the interior is lined with weathered barn wood and festive string lights zigzag across the ceiling. There are two interior rooms used for food/catering staging in the barn. The front of the barn has a 12’x46’ raised balcony used for accessing the 14’x40’ loft in the barn. We are swooning at this photo, the lights are so beautiful we’re sure the ambiance is just perfect once evening strikes.
TURNING BASIC INTO SPECTACULAR
Quaking Aspen Ranch knows how to design a wedding in a way that looks as though it came straight from a Pinterest board! From the lighting and décor to the tiniest of details, we are impressed with their design skills!
ACCOMODATIONS - STAY A WHILE!
The lodge is the perfect place to get ready for the wedding festivities. This 5,000 square foot lodge has plenty of space, with a couples suite, 4 king suites with additional bed space for up up 21 guests, each suite has it's own bathroom, a fireplace, numerous decks, and outdoor patios. There is a cathedral ceiling Great Room, large family/game/tv room!
It just gets better and better! They offer 5 glamping cabins so you can stay the weekend and enjoy all of the wedding festivities instead of cramming everything into one day. Just picture your closest family and friends here… so many
memories to be made!
Ready to see something truly beautiful and spectacular? The historic high-cage truss was built on-site in 1907 across the Stillwater River about 5 miles north of The Ranch. Having endured nearly a century of traffic from horse drawn wagons and cattle drives to modern ranch traffic semi-truck loads, in 2001 the Montana DOT replaced the historic old bridge with a new concert structure designed for heavier loads. With the replacement built the DOT put the historic bridge up for adoption and The Ranch took on the challenge of moving the classic old structure right through the town of Absarokee, raising a phone and power line all along the way until it reached its new home across the East Rosebud River running through The Ranch. When the bridge is used at night for photo ops, they line both handrails down the length of each side with bistro lights and then zigzag them back and forth overhead!
This one is fantastic because we know how important the wedding day catering is, and how expensive it can get. Quaking Aspen Ranch has a private in-house chef and we couldn’t get over how affordable their menus are. Your guests will enjoy an absolutely scrumptious dinner! You will have multiple choices of appetizers, salads, potatoes, entrees, vegetables and breads for very reasonable rates! Their menus are impressive! Look at their sample menus here.
On the property you will find a gorgeous winding river, ponds and mountain views! You are literally surrounded by natural beauty at every turn and will be able to capture incredible photos no matter where you are on the Ranch!

What is my relationship to the featured wedding venue? I am always transparent with my audience. This venue was hand selected by me to feature in this post. They were charged a small fee to cover my time in creating this post, as this provides a means for me to earn an income. I reached out to them and offered the opportunity, they did not seek me out looking to advertise. I only feature venues and vendors I truly think are great!
